Why don't ya just do a quick release detach set-up? Get rid of the stock hardware!

ok i found part # 53107-96 in the 04' catolog which fits 94 later flht, but harleydavidson.com list a newer part # and says it fits 97' and up. could the part i need have been discontinued?? <Might as well be, theyve discontined everyother part I want..... thank god for aftermarket suppliers, to pick up where HD dropped off.

Anyone know if this #53107-96 is avaible?

I've got a 95 ultra and just went through this. Found an obsolete Harley part number that bolts directly on to the plate using the existing four mounting bolts. The part number is 53405-87B and the backrest pad to go on it is 52548-87B. The backest has the four channel rack and looks factory when mounted. I found a brand new one on ebay but also saw several used ones. The backrest pad is still available from Harley. I actually like this set up better than the quick detach Harley set up which costs a lot more and isn't really made for that bike. Four bolts and all the wires in about 10/15 minutes to make the change. I'll try to get a picture later today if I can.

Ebay item number 4631211592 is the whole set up with backrest currently under a $100.00.

I have a '94 flhtcu. My bike has the item that you speak of. Unfortnatually I didn't receive the Tour Pack with my bike. I do really like the look of the rack and the Sissy-Pad.
