+1 to that.

As for the pipes, the logical choice would be the Vance& Hines dual headers. I would think they would work at least as well, if not the best, with the V&H slip-ons as any other brand. Thats the direction I would go. (and have...with regular ovals)

For that matter, how many brands of dual headers are there besides V&H and Rinehart? Does Bassani still offer the power-curve? Any others?

One thing you need to be careful of, is how the heat shields line up. That can change among brands, so even if the pipes physically fit together, the heat-shields may either leave a gap, or butt together, not allowing the slip-on to go all the way on. I ran into that trying HD Screamin eagle street legal slip-ons onto my V&H headers. The inlet on the muffler was longer than what V&H mufflers have, so the pipes stuck out the back of the bike an extra 1/2 inch, and there was a small gap (1/8) between the heat shields.

If you go V&H, you will know they will work (and work well) together.

Vance and Hines! Easy install, perfect fit with your slip-ons, and don't stick out as far on the left side (like the Rhinehart pipes).

Another vote here for the V&H head pipes. Great fit and high quality plating. One nice thing I like about their pipe set up is the amount the heat shields wrap around the actual pipe. They claim 220 degrees around or something like that.
