has anyone with the 09 models yes i said 09 had a high idle problem
if so what is the fix for it?friend of mine has 09 street glide
1000 miles or so on the bike .today while riding he pulls up to bar and shuts bike off and
comes out about 1 hr later fires bike up and it's running at about 2-3000 rpms he blips the throttle and didn't help.he pulled over and shut it down and restarted the same way
as far as i know it's still that way he rode home but had to feather the clutch to stop.
he asked me about it course i didn't know what to tell him but i figured someone here
could shed some light on this.this could be a big problem for a new rider. may very well be the first complaint i've heard about the new bikes.mine hasn't done it yet.
You have to stick your tongue out, from the side, then touch your nose with it, get off, run around the bike 3 times clockwise, then 3 times counterclockwise when starting any throttle by wire bike.
NORMAL
j/k, you have to do a sequence of 3-4 on/off cycling crap to reset it.
Not to be an a$$, but searching here will bring it up cause it is talked about with the 08's throttle by wire a lot. Regardless, he prob shut the bike down and had given a bit of throttle and it needs to have the sensor zeroed out. With run switch on, turn ignition switch to on for 10 secs, then off for 4 sec, and back on again. Do it 4 times. I recommed searching here, cause I could be off on the times...
remembered reading the thread and couldnt remember the times , I turned ignition on for a few seconds , then off for ten seconds four times , must be correct cause it brought it down for me ..
