If you are changing the A/C along with the slip ons then yes you need a fuel management. If you are going no further then the V&H will work, otherwise get the PCIII
The modifications you plan an doing will make a lean running engine run even leaner. A good fuel management system is what you need. If you like working on your bike, I would suggest a Power Commander III. Easy to install and fun to work with making good changes. You can always use the map supplied, which will be very close to great, if you do not want to play with the system. Jamie at Fuel Moto is wonderful to work with on these units. I did try a V&H Fuelpak before the PCIII, but was very unhappy with it and their service just was terrible.
