I did the same. I was very disappointed in the performance with the Fuel Pack. Called numerous times and emailed VH. No response. Bought a PClll Powercommander and will never go back. It's like two completely different bikes.

I'd like to know how everyone is getting their temperature measurements. Are you actually using some measuring device, or are you just assuming it's running cooler?
Thanks

It is the 14.7 to 1 leanness that makes the heat, so if the FuelPak doesn't improve that then how could it make it cooler? BTW, I could be completely wrong on all this technical stuff, all I know is the bike still is hot..could be less hot that it was before but it is still hot.
I am technical illiterate...I kind of see where you are coming from. From what I can gather from the PCIII conversations I have read and the Fuelpak conversations - unless the air/fuel mixture becomes more rich, then there is a heat issue as the bikes run lean to begin with. That is probably a gross over simplification. I'm not looking to have a bike with no engine heat, just like to tune it down a notch so my nuts don't get roasted when I ride home from work.

Would anybody say it is true? If so, it appears that you cannot set that up on the Fuelpak?

I'm using my "highly calibrated" inner right thigh as my gauge.

My previous '05 would almost literally cook my leg in stop/go traffic...the heat would get to the point that I thought my leg was sure to blister. My current RK doesn't get anywhere near that hot. If it's putting out the same amount of heat, it's doing a good job of hiding it from me...

If your EFI has the O2-sensor feedback loop, you'll not affect the heat output. If it doesn't, you'll be able to.

I got this from V&H about the air/fuel ratio:

"The Fuelpak changes the air to fuel ratio to 13.8 to 1 . This is considerably richer than stock which is 14.8 to 1."

First off, I am not a mechanic. I don't pretend to be. In spring of 2006 I bought a 2006 Dyna Super Glide. After the 1000 mile check I bought V&H straight shot slip ons a K&N AC and the V&H Fuel Pak and installed them myself. The bike ran strong with no decel popping. I sold it to a riding buddy who has been riding it for 2 years now with no problem. I'm looking at buying a 2009 SG or EG Classic. I plan on installing V&H Big Ovals and a K&N AC and Fuel Pak again.
