i posted this in another forum and was helping some people in the touring forum could help. buying a 09 sg and have to choose between black pearl and pewter. had a black before and wondered if black pearl shows a lot of dust and dirt and shows scratches easily just like vivid black. currently have a silver bike and love the color just don't know if i want another one. any suggestions.
another thing, currrently running a set of big radius pipes on my softail and love the sound to death. i want the same sound in a true dual any suggestions. by the way i find no pipes to be too loud.
this will probabley be my last bike for awhile all and any imput will be helpful.

2swild,
I do have a suggestion for dirt and dust on your bike, it's called alittle soap and water with some elbow grease behind it??? You'd be amazed on good it could look. There are ALOT of black bikes out there, pewter looks SWEET!!!
My son is looking at SG in Pearl Pewter tomorrow. Just got assembled. He had me look at it on the web. I think that would be a great color. I'm getting a little tire of cleaning, riding, cleaning, cleaning, riding, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.....You get my message with the vivid black as my base color. But it looks GREAT when it's clean.
harleys vivid black is a defective color, my 08 streetglide is that color, and it does attract bugs. sure does make the added chrome pop though, and so what if you gotta keep it clean. i use a weed sprayer with soap in it with hot water to wash it, and clean water for rinse, works great, you can direct the spray where you want it, and it's not hi pressure like the car wash. for me, i love polishing my bike when i get home. good therapy. gotta take pride in your ride. haven't tried any of the turtle wash products, but i bet they'd work well too.
V&H just came out with big radius for baggers i don't now if they are available everywhere yet last i checked they were back ordered for 3 weeks
in either chrome or black you have to relocate your r side passenger floorboard
I'm not sure what your options will be for exhaust on the 09. You may have to wait a while for the aftermarket to "catch-up" with the new desgn changes.
