Default Piston Removal from Flywheel

My bud just got his old broken parts back after an engine rebuild and wants to use the pistons for some art work. Is there a way to remove them from the flywheel without a special tool? He wants to keep the pistons connected to the connecting rods.

not on a twin cam at least without a hydraulic wedge or similar tool. They are a pressed fit and not designed to come apart.
