Update From An Update--Need Engine Advice
Quick recap: I have an 07 flhtc, with 32000 miles. When the engine is hot, I am having trouble restarting the engine. Sometimes, I get a backfire coming from the air cleaner, other times it chugs and chugs...and I have to attempt a restart two or three times before ignition. After the diagnostics were completed, the compression in my engine was 210 (both front and back).....way too high for stock. HD has done several things to try to fix the problem. They just replaced the cams. The compression is down to 194, 206......the norm is from 150 to 180. My HD mechanic is going to contact HD first of next week to find out what should be the next step. I do not understand that much about the technical aspects of the engine. So, I just needed some advice on what else could be wrong....I know my mechanic is going to get it right, but I just want to understand why the compression is so messed up. Thanks!
