Default Primary fluid amount

Manual calls for 32ozs. Didn't bring it up to bottom of clutch spring. Would it be ok to add a few more ounces, or just leave it at 32 and call it a day

As Long is Lubricant is visible between the Clutch and Inner wall of Chaincase with the Bike Level and Upright should be fine Overfilling the primary is not good ... My Heritage manual says 26 oz and thats exactly what it needs...

Manual says to the clutch spring. On my 05 it takes about 38 oz. to get to that mark.

Older bike manuals say to the spring and others give a specific amount. If your manual says 32 oz then stick with it. It's pretty hard to keep the bike level and check at the same time which is probably why they now give an actual number.

From what I have read and heard, quite a few service places just put a quart in and call it good, regardless of the amount that the manual calls for.
Since I do my own service, I put in the amount that is called out in the manual.
I doubt if it would cause a problem either way, as long as you don't way overfill.
