I do my own oil changes and I'll soon be replacing my primary oil again. I usually just follow the guidelines in the manual when refilling, but the primary case is the only one that does not have a dipstick for a final reference. I have noticed that the recommended quantities are rarely the same as the manual suggests, so I just go by the dipstick, regardless.
I have noticed in an earlier manual that the although a refill amount is given for the primary, it also shows where the level should be relative to the clutch assembly. I like this idea because it gives me a visual reference. Does anyone know if the primary level, relative to the clutch assembly, is with the bike on it's kick stand or upright?
