I have purchased a 87 flhtc and the outer fairing will have to be replaced.. I need to know the years one will fit.(84-94 ??) ...I tried asking a young kid at the parts dept. but he could not even get a part # for the year I needed.
Call Legends Harley Davidson in Ledgewood, NJ. Ask for Parts, ask for Mike, he'll definitly have the part number for you.
Legends was great in geyting all sorts of parts for rebuilding my '89.
Sounds like a similiar story. I still have my 85 wing, got an 85 FHHTC. Just from one wing to batwinger toanother, you will be suprised how much you will miss the wing in the heavy winds. The batwing could be called a parachute. The wing will give you good forearm muscles compared to the frame mount. But, the wing also had the wind work the whole bike, just not the steering. I also have a Yam Venture bagger and the fairing must be computer designed as it cuts the wind compared to the batwing... Ride safe...
