Default Identifying ABS model

I do not have access to a parts/service manual right now so how do I visibly tell if a bike is an ABS model or not? Looking at an 07 FLHP.

I think 07's have the abs unit in the saddle bag but that might be 06 and older models. I know on my 08 you can not tell (by looking)

There is an extra wire attached to the left (if your sitting on the bike) front brake line. Or you can look real close at the calibers and there is a small black tag with the letters ABS on it.

Look at the frame where the tubes meet at the front of the bike, right where the VIN is stampped on the right side. On an ABS bike there will be two cables. On a non ABS, it will be a single bundle of wires.

I believe when you turn the switch on the ABS light will come on.

Check where the front brake lines join and branch at the lower triple tree. ABS models will have the brake lines going from the front master cylinder down the neck under the tank instead of a direct connection to the front master cylinder.

On the right front of the frame near the fairing wiring harness, you can see two black brake lines. These are the brake lines that leave the front master cylinder on the bars and head back to the ABS unit (under the right cover). The other is the brake line on it's way back to the front wheel. This is the easiest way to tell.

On my 08 there is a black ABS sensor between the fork and the brake rotor. It's on the left side and clearly visible.

Yes, Right side will have a spacer the left will have a black sensor. If it's non ABS it will have a spacer on both sides
