Default Police Bag Push-Button Latches

Has any of you out there replaced the hockey puck latch with the push-button replacement latch? If so are you experiencing problems with the lid popping open, not staying latched.

I replaced mine, and I have not had any issues at all with it.

i ran them for about three years and the latch broke on one. i found a set of keyed locking pushbuttons made by Southco on eBay for $12. as far as a actual problem they have given me none, they work best if you lock the factory locks at the rear of the lid too.

Those are the same ones I have, Southco # 93-307, locking. I dont have the rear locks on my bags as I was going for a cleaner look. All I have is the push button locks. Are you saying that you had no problems even when you didn't lock the rear locks? Or are the rear locks what really keeps everything closed tight?

My dealer had them, but I found some on the web made by Southco # 93-307. The dealer one's come as a kit( latches and filler caps for the 2 holes, but don't lock. Southco's is just a locking, push button latch, no filler caps. Either way you just have to adjust the "T" catch on the inside to work.

I had Doc's HD order me a set, $50.00 about 3 years ago and they lasted. I used them daily for 9 months out of each year and 40,000 miles with no problems. I don't know where he got them from.
