I've read about getting some plastic plugs/caps from Lowe's for when you remove the fairing mount mirrors.
Anyone know how are they called? size? what Lowe's dept. are they found in?
I would look in the electrical section. The electrical boxes have knock-out plugs and should also offer plugs as well to plug openings in those boxes. Even in the plumbing supply. Where they have sink fixtures. On certain kitchen sinks. Some eliminate the spray attachment on a SS sink and they provide plugs that close that whole where the sprayer once was.
Found them at Lowe's in their bolt/nuts/fastener section. There's a drawer dedicated to chrome and black caps.
The ones that worked for me were the 3/8" for the main hole and a 3/16" for the small stud hole. Worked like a charm, look like OEM!
