If the MoCo says that you can run their Syn3 20/50 in all 3 holes, you can do the same with other brands.

I still run Redline HD shockproof gear oil in gearbox. It's seem to make more noise and shift a little harder with regular syn oil.

I changed to Redline in the tranny at my 10K service. Prior I was using syn 3 in all the holes. Redline made the tranny much more quiet and the shifting is much smoother. Very happy with the results.

Redline Heavy Duty Shockproof in tranny. At least 250,000 with it in my last 4 Harley's. It's bulletproof. Run what you want, but as for me, it's Redline in the gear box.

I run Amsoil 20/50 in all three holes, no problem's at all. Runs cooler and quieter, shifts great.
