Default ATL-Canyon

Having a ball on our 08 Ultra.
Left Atlanta on Saturday for the Canyon. Have never been out west.
Made Shreveport, LA the first day, 625 miles.
Almost ran out of hi-test gas but finally found some in Talledega, Alabama.
Wife keeps falling asleep on the back.
Did 10k service just before we left and bike is running without a whimper.
Crosswinds in the Texas hill-country are thrilling, to say the least.
Love the 80 mph speed limits.
Zumo550 keeps us where we need to be.
Visiting daughter's family in Morenci,AZ. Huge copper-mining company operation here.
Scenery is breathtaking.
About to leave for Williams,AZ and the Canyon.
Have averaged about 500 miles a day.
Going to take AZ 191 from Morenci to Springerville. Looks like it will outclass the Dragon,
what with the mountains, hairpins, and the mountain rams and elk will be an added bonus.
Wife is packing to leave now, so I'd better quit this rambling and help her.
Nothing but good things to say about the 08 Ultra. Lots of added weight with all the bugsplats. Better on the fairing and windshield than on me.
Ciao for now.
to add to the fun

That's great man. I hope that the rest of the ride is as good. Enjoy.

Ron, glad you are enjoying yourself.

P.S. No more gas lines in metro Atlanta and plenty of premium gas--now if the prices would come down some more.

Great, I love those long rides. Be safe, and let us know how the entire trip ends up. There's always a funny story on every trip.
