I've drained the motor seperate from the oil tank and have never gotten more than 4-6 oz. of oil. That's all that remains in the motor when you only drain the tank. The clown that posted originally (and he's posted more than once, same post) claiming he got 61 oz. of oil from his crankcase is full of excrement to his eyes. Also, if you want to run ATF in your motor be my guest - NOT something I'm ever going to do.
Motor oil in the motor, gear lube in the tranny, and ATF in the primary. Works every time.
I don't know what bike you have, but when I pull the plug I get close to 3 quarts before it stops coming out. ( I use a cutdown 5 gallon pail and it comes up to about the 3 1/2" mark)

Need to re read left coasters post , I agree with him .. Drain the tank and you only have a few ounces left in the motor , surely not 61 ounces after draining the tank ..

Hey Stevo, I checked the site and they sell them for 2000-2008 Softails and 1988-2008 Sportsters.

BTW, I was just thinking after I watched the oil change video...... http://www.roguechopper.com/video-tcb.html

Instead of buying the Scavenger System, would this work:

When you're ready to change your oil, warm up your bike, then remove the drain plug and drain the oil. Leaving the old filter on, fill the tank with fresh clean oil. Remove the oil return line from the tank and place a hose on the end of the oil return line, then place the other end of the hose in a container to catch the used oil. Start your bike and flush the remainder of the used oil, until clean oil starts to flow out the hose. The last thing to do is exchange the filter with a clean filter. Then ride your bike!

Man... I even tried to buy one, but I could not get a response. Called, emailed, and then got an email. Emailed and asked about the 08's "They were in production, and will be ready in a week." I'm not a rocket scientist, I'm not a mechanic, but I'm also not buying anything if I can't get answers to my questions in a timely fashion. It sounded like a reasonable solution, but then again, I've been changing my oil every 3000 miles in every vehicle I've owned since 1969 and never had an engine issue. Now, with the FLHRC I've swithced to Amsoil and I'm going till 4500-5000; just to be neurotic. I figure it this way, I'm not racing the bike-- and I wonder what they do with the bikes they do race... How do they flush the oil or do they?

Your getting 3 quarts out of the oil TANK. Not the crankcase. That was his point, very little of the oil is left in the CRANKCASE.

JCPA, Man I'm with you,I use Amsoil, and yes I am a dealer before anyone say's it,proud of it too.I have a good business,of changing oil ,and general servicing,in Harley's.I have done my best week was 16.It's a product that really kick's it up,and it's American in design probably not in the actual oil.I started using it in 2002,when my Hog Chapter was riding in the Corn Festival in Bunkie La.It was a good hot humid day,and there was more starting, and stopping then usually happen's,we all had to take a break, and shut our bike's down to let them cool.I was looking at installing a oil cooler, when I found Amsoil site, and it was cool that you could become a dealer,no other oil company that I have found will let you do that, most of bud's I have now run a snythetic, and we don't have to shut down, but sometimes it good to do so,because you want to,not because you have too. I run my Amsoil, for 4,000 miles, then change the filter, top it off run it another 4,000,the change it all out.The first time I used oil analysis to let me know when it was time, have used that mileage every sense then.As with the scavenger by Rogue,to me it worked great, and as you've read there is alot of debate about what I stated, but that's ok that's what a forum is about, but they should at least try to get in touch with you.

Whew, and all these years, I've just been following the service manual, and everything seems to work just fine. Amazing to learn what you don't already know. LoL Seen it before, just not necessary for as often as I go through oil changes....
