So what is the difference in this device versus just draining the oil, turning the engine over a few times and pumping the oil into the pan and thus draining it out into the drain pan.

I am just asking!!

Yup. Very little in the crankcase I suppose, but a lot more than 'a little' from somewhere.

OTOH, where was it that I implied the 3 quarts was from the crankcase????

Saturday finally made it,Yes sweet,hey this item were talking about is like inventing a better mouse trap kinda thing.Does it work,yes it does,but does the way we've always done it work,yes it does,so If what ever way you like works,then just do it that way,it's all GOOD.I know dude's who never changed oil in anything,esp old 1200,they just kept adding till was changed that way.Doesn't matter,enjoy the ride
