I have V&H Oval slip-ons on my '06 RKC and they're the perfect sound for me.

I like the Rush. I have 2.25's on my RKC and they sound great. I think they range from 1.50" up to 2.5" but I since I like the noise, I can't imagine anything less than 2.25". You can also change out the baffles if you want more sound. I ordered mine from Jamie at Fuel Moto. His price was slightly higher than the least expensive place I found but his service is worth a few extra dollars. Plus, I had a small imperfection on the chrome(wasn't a big deal and would have never been seen since it would have been on the inside next to the wheel when mounted) that they immediately took care of. He told me to go ahead and use the one I had until my replacement arrived and then ship the bad one back with them paying the freight. I was pretty impressed at how they handled the whole thing.
And to answer your question- yes, bigger baffles make more noise.

FLHRSI,

What model SE you running? If they are the 95115-98B's I would consider buying them from you.

And yes, larger baffles are louder. If you want good sounding loud, nothing much beats Thunderheaders in my opinion. But they are too loud for me on long distances.

Check out Big City Thunder, they make replacement baffles and may make some to fit your slipons. Also check out Fullsac Performance at fullsac.com - they make a true dual conversion kit for your stock head pipes. You can probably do both for less than the cost of a new system or slipons.

I just installed Rush slip-ons with 1.75" baffles on my '06 RK Custom. Was told anything bigger would need to be re-programmed. Bought them from Bill Tither Somerset Motorsports, best price I found, great customer service. He was right, got them on and rode for a month, bike runs fine and I think anything bigger would have been to loud. They seemed to get a little louder each time I rode it.

I wouldn't trade my Cary Faas slipons for anything. Nothing else sounds like them.
