just as long as you're riding BEHIND me...don't be stupid, have a couple of beers but then wait a while before mounting the bike

Not giving advice, but it's just something I won't do. Too many crazies running around in cages to compete with and I need all of my wits about me to survive the mean streets. However, when I get home, well, that's my time to sip one or two. LOL!!

I have gone out with the fellas shot a little pool drank a beer or two then rode home. Wouldn't drink more than that and never on a empty stomach. Taken momma out to dinner and had "a" drink with dinner, but that's my choice. I know my limit and won't go past it.

I do not see a problem drinking a few beers and riding my bike. That is the only time I am able to ride a wheelie.

I never drink and ride. I find it easier to pull up to the bar and go inside to have a beer.

Well, I don't drink.
Buying alcohol would diminish my ability to buy chrome, so.......

Actually, I never acquired a taste for beer or liquor.

However, I ride with guys that can make George Jones look sober.
When they get to that point, it's time for me to break off.
My scoot knows it's way home...and if not, I can steer it that way.

I guess my mentality towards drinking & driving has been this...

I wouldn't want someone injuring my kids because they needed a drink.
I certainly give the same respect for others kids.

A couple brewskies...I don't have a prob with.
But when you start biting your tongue trying to speak and then get on a bike or in a car...frankly, you need your head caved in!

Many years ago I did stupid things and lived through them....don't feel like pressing my luck anymore. If I pick up a beer my bike or car keys get put away. I don't go to bars, and I don't have an alcoholic drink with meals....most times if I do drink I'm at my home, or a friends and have made arrangements for a ride. I don't ever want to be on the side of the road wondering if I will pass the test, or worse.....be the cause of an injury to myself or someone else.

The last time I drank alcohol and rode I put my bike down running from a cop, never let go of the throttle, yanked it back up, and actually got away. But, I ate skin off the whole right side of my body (shorts and tennis shoes). So, for me that didn't work out too well. I haven't drank in 24 years, so it's not a problem anymore (always wear pants and boots, since), but I don't have problem riding with someone who has a couple of beers with a good dinner. I won't ride with them if they're drunk, but all of the guys I know are cool with a couple of beers.
