check out infinity website. it`s what i`m playing after doing some home work & the set i show pictured is what i have installed. I know its not the install your looking for but they have all sizes that will work for you, these speakers run about $225-$250 at most shops i pick mine up on ebay out of texas $107 shipped even if i had to pay the $250,I like to help the local shops but not by a margin of saveing this good ,any how as some one else mentioned the kappa serries better yet the kappa loud speaker serries. but what ever you choose just have fun with the install and all .
note on pic`s i know i still need to harness the clumped wire job
check out the external crossover and small magnets, these sounds kick *** also my leathers fit fine on the amp side bag leaving the other for the lady, pleanty nough for the the day any more than that the lugage rack go`s on anyhow. oop`s sorry for running off course with your thread,
good luck Bro ! C-ya.
Call and talk to them. Their stuff is pricey, but YOU GET what you PAY FOR. I've been using their speakers and amp for close to two years now. It simply ROCKs!
They are audio guys that ride. Their stuff is made for bikes and their customer svc is 2nd to none.
if you only upgrade speakers with no amp - then yes you should use 2ohm spekaers - you can use 4ohm and they will sound clearer than stock but will not go as loud.
I did alot of research before upgrading my audio system, and Firecap501 was a tremendous help. If had a little money to invest without question I would go with the Arc Audio system. iI think Hawgwired was too expensive and for a little more than Hog tunes you can ge the Arc System
As for speakers the most commone ones were - JL Audio, Inf Kappa's, MB Quart, Polk Audio
I went with the MB Quart 113's, they are 4ohm and I got an amp with them. I also go them delivered off ebay for 65.00, clarity is awesome....not sure how they will sound with the stock radio.
without adding an amp 4 ohm speakers will be hard on your radios amp. as for hawg wired they are the most expensive setup with the least amount of results. better go with wal mart than hawg. the arc audio is without a doubt THE best in the buisness. and cap is the the most honest up front fella you will ever meet
an added thought. if you go with titanium cones and rubber buytl sorrounds the weather wont have much affect. if you use speakers with pulp cones they wont last.
I recently installed a Hawg Wired kit (amp and 4 speakers), and all I have to say is it is this setup is top quality in every respect and the sound quality and performance is nothing less than amazing! The difference blew me away! Customer service with Hawg Wired is top-notch (I dealt with Mike) and they answer emails or phone call questions right away! When you compare the OEM gear to the Hawg Wired gear the difference is night and day! They are expensive...but their gear is designed for the tough conditions that our HD sound systems endure.
