Here is some food for thought.

I had my outer fairing off for a wiring problem. When I put it back together I torqued all the fasteners to factory specs.

About 100 miles later I checked those same fasteners and they were all loose and needed to be re-torqued.

I am thinking that the brackets are breaking because the fasteners inside and outside the fairing are loosening up and causing vibrations to occur.

The front end (Batwing) is constantly buffeting in the wind, jarring and shaking with bumps, expanding with heat and contracting with cold and constantly moving around as we ride causing fasteners to loosen and vibrations to start.

My plan is to remove the outer fairing as routine maintenance and make sure everything on the inside and outside is tightened to factory specs.

That's my plan..........Only time will tell if I am correct.

I can't tell if this a repair for the Batwing brackets, or a repair for their compressor bracket? http://www.savior250psi.ca/QuickRepair_about.html

That was brought up on the Presidential debate last night by John Mcain. He's trying to stop companies from leaving the US.

RideWva, Those are a replacement for the top ends of the main fairing braces that break off. Good idea, but I wouldn't use pop rivets to fasten it on, I'd use bolts with nylock nuts. Mine broke early this spring. I took them off and welded them back together. Then I took a piece of .062 metal, 1 in wide and long enough to make a J shape to outline the outer curvature of the end that broke off. With that welded on, the whole end is reinforced. Done a similar thing to the small braces.
