Default Which cam, Andrews 21G or 26G?

I've been researching cams for a possible winter upgrade to my stock 88" Road Glide. Reading the cam specs on the Andrews website, the 21G and 26G cams are similar in lift, duration and overlap, but which one would you recommend? When I do ride two up with my wife, we're quite a load. 95% of the time, though, it's just me. Input appreciated.

If you had to use the scientific wild *** guess method on what those cams would Dyno in a stock 88" twin cam with a race tuner, stage 1 and V&H/SE true dual exhaust, what would you estimate on HP and torque?

On a bagger I would say the 26g. I ran the 26g in my 04 EGC, but I had done a mild 95" build with it as well so my dyno was a tad different in numbers. I had 93.2 torque and 83.5 hp. Also have to make sure you have the crank runout is within spec for gears.

Dawg, was that 95" build with stock heads or modified? I'd like to have numbers in the 80's on HP and 90's on torque. That'd be right up my alley.

Check the tech articles on American Rider's web site. Joe Minton has an excellent article on "Torque and How to Get Some." The Andrews 21 cam has similar specs to what he recommends, in that it closes the intake valve quicker to build greater cylinder pressure, creating more low end torque. Here's the link:
