05 FLHTC Carbie
This weekend 170 miles and ran out of fuel and had to switch to reserve. Sorry carbie bikes don't have low fuel lights! 65-70 average speed.
It seems to change. It all depends of how hard I push it or whether I'm scooting around town or on the highway for a while in 5th. I see 135 miles, up to 180 miles, before the light comes on.
One thing I have noticed - it takes long time for the needle to go from full to half and a short time to go from half to the light turing on. Has any one else noticed this?

Well i can tell you this about the 07 SG. Before i did anything to my engine i was getting 190-200 pr tank. I put a big sucker, reinhartstrue duals & PCIII so now im getting 159-170. WONDER WHAT HAPPEN THERE !
Called my Harley shop up and heres what they told me. Unhook the 02 cencer for power. Hook it up for econamy.
To be honest i really couldnt tell if i got any more power just good sounding pipes. The biker runs good but i really didnt feel any power improvement from just highway running so what did i acomplish with this PCIII again ?
I have an '07 RKC with 110ci SE motor. Getting about 36 - 40 mpg. My light comes on after 150 - 160 miles. Approximately 1 gallon left. I would get a maximum of 200 miles from a tank, but that would be to empty.
Iam hoping my mpg goes up as the bike breaks in. Harley's catalogue shows 50 mpg from the CVO's.
I just put together a 95, HC pistons, performence heads and 257s not dynoed first tank was about 30 mpg and I have since put on 1500 and I am averaging about 45 mpg. All depends on throttle movement! Dyno is comming soon! I have used the SERT to dial it in while recording runs with the laptop connected at different riding scenerios. Poor mans dyno. I had to buy a map from Latus HD (great guys!) to get me running right I have tweaked it from there...
When I went from stock 88cu to the 95cu stage I on my 03 RK there wasn't much of a change - stayed right around 190 when the light came on, but upgrading the 07 CVO Ultra to SERT and SE AC with Rineharts I've gone from 180 down to 160 when the light comes on and I'm putting 4.3-4.5 gals in then... guess the extra power/cooler engine tempdefinitely comes at a price (91 octane iscurrently $3.09 or about $14.00 to fill up).
I think it all depends on your average speed for the that tank of gas. I cruise at 80-85 and my light comes on at about 150 miles--Most I have gone on a tank is 168 miles--maybe someday I will hold it to 50 and see how far I can go--I read once the best mileage will be delivered at 51 MPH.
