I did the 300505's on my 02 this summer. +3 clutch cable & brake lines (I used Magnum lines) I have the +3 throttle & idle cables but just used my stock ones. New one piece clamp and left grip.

I was hoping for a black brake line. How much longer of a brake line do you suggest?
I haven't gone as far as changing out my tensioners yet. I just did a visual check and they are in great shape.

As for the brake line, I just checked the P&A catalogue and find that the # I gave you and the part that I actually used is for a FLHR and has no plus length. I can't be sure now how I came by that part #. At the time I did the bar swap I did get help and part# info from dawg. This baffles me now, but I have had no issues with the brake lines.

Just thought about the ISO grip on the left handlebar. It was a few years ago that I installed them, and don't remember what kind of glue went on them. Help please.

and

the best way to remove the ISO grip to begin with.

You should get some speedbleeders. They are worth the cost and save a bunch of work, mess, and frustration. Be sure to get the hose and bag combo. It makes bleeding and NO MESS job.

Find a Goodridge distributor such as Barnett, they have brake lines in about 15 different colors including black.

I just installed grip heaters on my 08UC and just used an air nozzle to blow the grip off.
Slid off like butta on a hot knife. Mitch

I just went out to the shop to check on this. I bought a full Brembo set-up from a forum member to replace my 07 brakes. I was hoping to use Speedbleeders on them.

Damn . . . they are not the same size. The Brembo bleeders are built into the banjo bolt and they are a smaller size. They also have an 0-ring seal on them. They take a 3/8 wrench although the threads look metric. This would make sense that HD would have them make the "nut" a standard size.

Anyone know the thread size????

I'll have to do some research. Think I'll send an email to the Speedbleeder people and see what they have to say.

Stay tuned . . .
