Thanks for finding that for me, but I'm quite sure its the real mileage. The lady that owns it is very sick and only got to ride it a few times. Her brother is selling it for her, but I need to make sure that true.
Thanks again for that find. I did go look at it too and it looks brand new in person.
Just remember the mileage figure you posted is from a trip odometer reading, not the overall mileage reading. A & B trip odometers can be reset with a push of the button.
Road glides are the best kept secret around. If you want a true touring bike that is just awsome, buy it before someone else has the chance. I have a friend that has one and I used to think it was butt ugly until by chance I happened onto the one I have. I have enjoyed that bike more than ANY motorcycle that I have ever had and that would include several.
If you buy it, you will soon discover that you are part of a very select group that the motorcycle gods have smiled upon. Enjoy!
Sounds like an excellent platform to make into "yours". It's basically new and with the fairing, stereo, etc it's a new experience from what you've got now.
You have a highly cusomized 05 - do you like it?
Why would you present the bike as "highly" customized if you just slapped on chrome aftermarket parts.
The ONLY thing that a newer bike can give you is antilock brakes. Like "woo hoo".
Let those other bad boys have it. You can spend less and get more. (aside from antilock)
Now that you have your ride they way you want it, how much more to make this one "tight".
Just stop and think about it....
Big a$$ motor - $4000 to $7000
Great suspension/brakes - $1000 - $3000 (RHD)
Weird Stuff - $5000
So for a bit more ($15K) you have what everyone else dreams of.....
Shrink, thanks again for pointing out the mileage shot, but I went and looked at the bike again and it has 1570 miles on the odometer, so it probably was reset by the dealer at delivery.
genedjr, as for your comments you are right I did slap a bunch of chrome aftermarket parts and a $5000 paint job on it, and It gets a lot of attention. I do a lot of long distance riding and look cool doing it but don't feel so cool after a 600 mile day. That is why I'm getting the Road Glide with radio, tour pack, and fairing lowers. As of right now I'm keeping the 05 too and would like to put a bad a$$ motor in it sometime down the road.
