I don't know if they still make them but they use to sell a device for drivers who tend to fall asleep. It clipped to your ear & let out an audible alarm if the wearer's head tilted to a certain degree. Might actually work, but that is a long boring ride. Have you tried Peggy Sue's diner? Maybe a stop there would help.

My girlfriend falls asleep sometimes. As someone else said though, with the Ultra it's no big deal. Also, as big as I am, she'd have trouble squeezing out of the back seat unintentionally, so no, I don't worry about her falling off. She never had that problem on the Wide Glide though...Hmmmmmm..
