Default Road King features and dates
As part of my search for my next bike I'd like to compare used against new. What I don't know is the years that stuff like the 96 engine and the six speed transmission were introduced.

Can somebody make up a quick chart or point me at a place where I could find that information?

The 96 engine and the six speed transmission were introduced in 2007.

06 RK 88" TC, 5 speed, 5 gal tank
07 RK 96" TC, 6 speed, 5 gal tank
08 RK 96" TC, 6 speed, 6 gal tank, TBW, brembo brakes
09 RK 96" TC, 6 speed, 6 gal tank, TBW, new frame, wider rear tire, brembo brakes
