lowering 2007 FLHT
i have 2007 FLHT i tried lowering it using not sure nameof the blocks but they bolt to bottom shock mounts and basically lock under swing arm to change shock angle. Anyway they are three settings lowest setting not sure of measurment but bottomed out all the time. second setting only when riding two up and sharp bump on brand new tire so figured me alone would be ok. Anyway long story short tire off when switching out belt for longer ( i put new front Pulley on) wiring harness is pooched tire rubbing bad had to rebuild the harness. How do you get these babies low and not risk hitting the fender and ruining harness or bubbling paint? loved the look and the ride when it was low and hate to not go back but if i am goign to be doing damage thats no good either. what if anythgin have you guys done or any ideas on how to make her low and lean? thanks in advance for the info. just new here and already got lot of great info great site great guys great info keep it up
On my current bike, I used the HD lowprofile shocks and front end kit. On my 97 RK I changed from the lowering blocks (due to bottoming out) to the Progressive 440's and they worked great. I know people have used the adjustable air ride suspensions also. It seems the blocks change the angle and can cause bottoming out. All depends on how much you want to spend and the ride you want.

I used Progressive lowering shocks.
I only used the lower kit I bought for about 100 miles and that was enough.
Get the Progressive shocks they work very well and have much more air adjustment than Harley air shocks.
