Ordered a set of Monster Ovals that will be in on Monday. Can't wait to install them and get those stock sorry rust cans off my baby. It was a tough choice but I went with the Monsters after having the Rineharts on my previous ride with issues like purple end caps and loose baffles. Looked at Rush and Jackpots but the quality just wasn't there. Anybody else installed the Monsters and have tips or insight?
I think the Monster Ovals look great on the 2009's, with the wider tire and fender. This thread has some beautiful pics of the Monster Ovals on a 09 SG.
Saw & heard the Monster Ovals @ Vance & Hines tent at Biketoberfest and they are great looking and sound great. I have the regular ovals on my scoot now but if I was starting from scratch, the Monsters would be my #1 choice !!!
I seen the black Monster Ovals on a gold & black anny color 08' RG a few weeks ago. He had the full TD set up on and they looked outstanding and sounded even better.
fettnersa,
As for the Rineharts.....I was also a bit put off by the fading tips and failing bracket on the rear header pipe. After plenty of research though I found that both of those issues were corrected by Bub. I can personally attest to this, as the black exhaust tips are now powder coated and not anodized as before. There was also a redesign of the rear header pipe/bracket, and no more problems there either.
