Default Arnott shock differences?

Can anyone explain the advantages or the differences between the different air shocks offered by Arnott?
There are three types I have seen offered.
Bilstein. No adjustment. $699
QA1. Sixteen adjustments. $799 only offered on ebay. Closeout?
Was there a problem with the QA1, or was it a matter of cost/profit?
Alden. Twelve adjustments. $999

Is the difference in performance or comfort worth the difference in price?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks

I was looking pretty hard at the Alden myself. I'd be curious to hear some feedback as well.

Thanks!

I think you need to be looking at this page, not sure though.

That site shows you what each kit contains, but there is no explanation of what the real differences in ride or performance between them are.
Do I really need 11 adjustments?
What are the adjustments for?
Will adding more air to the bilstein set provide the same ride as adusting the alden set?
Is the alden set worth the extra $400.

I have the alden's. I am happy with them. I don't adjust the dampening much, if any. The bilstein's have open air bags (not covered).

Default Air Shocks

I bought a set of the Arnott/Alden Series shocks. The 11 point adjustment was supposed to help with the damping rate I was led to believe. The air adjustment was for the height and ride. For me the height adjust was great. It was pretty quick up or down. Once again for me I could not find a place that gave me a ride that was better or even remotely close to my progressive 412's. I tried every setting at pretty much every ride height. The bike rode for all intents and purposes like a rigid. Having said that I promptly returned them and got my refund as advertised. Their customer service was very good and they lived up to their advertised return policy. Having the bike slamed was great. I never expected the ride good at that setting. This was just for me in the garage or a parking lot or a tight space where I needed more push with bent legs. That part was with out a doubt great. Obviously I ride out of the garage and out a parking lots so the ride as well was critical. IMO the ride was terrible. For now I am sticking to my 412's. I may look at a set of legends but I won't buy till I am sure the ride will be "alot" better.
