Just had the HD Pager/Security System installed on my bike but can't seem to get the pager to encode. Followed the instructions several times but no luck. Anybody else had that problem and any remedies? Starter kill that came with the bike works fine.

Should activate with the push of a button on the pager. Take it back to the installer if ya can't get it to work with the instructions.

Took me a number of tries to get it ... but it finally worked (got batteries?)

battery works. It does everything but indicate it has been encoded. I will take it to the dealer when I have some time in a couple of days. Something that should have been checked when the installation was complete.

Turns out when the unit was installed they cracked the insulation on the antenna and it wouldn't pick up a signal. The dealer didn't have one in stock so they ordered one. Hope that fixes it. Just plug it in and go but the wire does have to take a sharp turn to fit right.
