Check your garage door remote. If it's a 12 V battery you can pick up another remote for about $20, wire it to the bike's electrical system, & add a button where it's convenient for you. Total cost, about $30 - $40 & no add ons to your door opener.
Great choice. We just finished a year on our new to us '03 EG Classic.
1) Go to Harley web site - punch in Vin number - there was a recall on this bike - make sure it was done.
2) Same as above - and check service record (If done by HD)
3) Give it a good once over - anything that is "bolted", give it a tug. My saddle bag guards worked a little loose on one side (after a year)
4) Tool kit / tire guage
5) Give it a detailed go over - by you if qualified (I am not qualified) so had dealer do it. Found 3 broken fairing brackets and needed front brakes.
6) Read owners manual. Then you know how to put emergency flashers on.
7)Be afraid of this forum. Be verrry afraid.
