How many of you are still able to get out and Ride? I am asking because I know some of you are putting the Bikes away for the Cold Weather season, I am able to Ride, we are having Beautiful Weather down here in the South.
Still riding in Cleveland, OH, but probably not for much longer. We had snow earlier this week and some dipstick cities freaked out and laid down some salt - and i try not to ride after the salt goes down. That said, the weather this coming week is going to be too damn nice not to ride!
Year round here in NJ, except I won't ride if it's too cold outside (no heated gear) and I won't ride on snow covered or crappy "salt residue" covered roads (What a mess that makes of your bike.) I only ride in the rain if I get caught in it but not by choice. There may be weeks in between rides but we still manage some milder days over the winter and I keep my bike ready to go. I'll keep Sta-bil in the gas tank through the winter and I always keep it on a Battery Tender anyway, all year round. Christmas Day could be 60 degrees outside, or 12. That's how it is.....
I'm not a Polar Bear member because I don't believe in riding just for milage bragging rights or to boast about riding in foul weather (as a badge of somebody's honor) only to arrive at some ill-tasting cheap breakfast or lunch.
I've ridden a few by choice, but I am not a member.
