I've got them here in my electra glide. This isn't the best picture to show them off but they are very nice. Easy to install, great fit, and really keep the wind off my legs.
Good god they are ugly looking from the rear!!! No wonder why they don't show that side on their site.
The "Flash Photography" makes them look that way from the rear but in reality, they look better in person. The black just blends in with the black and you don't notice them. Trust me, if I thought they distracted from my bike, I wouldn't have them on there. Everyone does have different opinions as to what they like and tolerate though...
I just ordered a set tonight and recieved an email from him that they will ship tommorow via air mail. He already sent the install instructions as well as the other warranty info as well. So far ,so good. I'll be sure to report back when i recieve mine with a performance report. I can't wait.
[QUOTE=gilbos440rt;4064197]The soft lowers work great in my mind they do catch a little air (think sail's) but not that bad
I tried a set of HD soft lowers on my RG and really noticed the wind resistance at highway speeds. Most of my riding is at highway speeds, so I took them off. Think of a sail at 70-80 mph. Couldn't wait to take them off.
Saturday Night Special....
just wanted to say..... ohhhhSWEET freakin Road Glide you got there
Thanks man, I like your's too. We seem to be the very few with rails around the bags, but I like them! They made a big difference on my bike I feel. I also want to put on the shorty backrest that is found on the CVO Road Glide because I like how that one looks. (Christmas is coming right?). I already installed the single point bracket to mount it. I really like the way the CVOs look overall. I also really like that we FLTR Riders are kind of unique on the road, unlike the tons of batwings out there. FLTR Forever!
I received mine last Thu. I wound up relocating the reflectors as they interfered with the installation of the frame strap. Has anyone had a problem with any soft lower melting where it gets close to the front head pipe? Mine is less than a fingers width away and was worried about it becoming a melted mess. Other wise it fits great and did it's job on the ride into work today.
