I ordered a set as well after reading this thread last week. They arrived today and I'll test them out tomorrow.

I had the same problem on my RG. I bought some colormatched Hoggchopps and the block the wind a lot better. They are well built and cheaper than the HD ones.

I tried a set of HD soft lowers on my RG and really noticed the wind resistance at highway speeds. Most of my riding is at highway speeds, so I took them off. Think of a sail at 70-80 mph. Couldn't wait to take them off.

"After a clonk on the fore head"
I coulda had an Ultra..
I see alot of guys buying Streetglides, Roadglides, and Roadking touring models and then adding tour packs and now lowers...

Is there a great difference between an Ultra with a detachable TourPack installed and a Street Glide?

Seems to have all the stuff these guys are adding....

I think it comes to personal preference. The RG is different due to the fairing since the weight of it is on the frame and it is not factored in when you are turning the bars. It takes getting use to and some people do not like the looks of an RG. There have been many threads on the subject so I say try them all and get what you like- it is your money.

I recieved mine 4 days after ordering them....Installed them in a few minutes and took it up the highway at 100 mph. They didn't flap, didn't seem to effect my handleing, and cut the wind on my legs/feet perfectly.I even found that they worked while I had my feet on the highway pegs. Great fit, great performance, nicely made, and for a great price. They'll be in my saddle bag always if they're not on the bike....Great product!!!

End up with a set or Airlite lowers.
Instead or 2 pieces , they are one long piece that install on Lt crashbar and then behind the front fender over the Rt side crash bar. A large section of open mesh in front of the engine allows cooling.

A little tip the phone number for contact is long distance in vancover Ca so email and he will call you back on this dime.LOL dont ask how I Know.

I have run mine for a few rides( 80+ mph) and love the easy on and off plus getting the cold off my legs. Naturally you will notice a little wind drag but not that bad.

I just got mine, There well made and they fit tight with the Velcro straps 29.50 on ebay plus 17 postage to Australia. They fold up in a small nylon carry case thats takes up very little room in the saddle bags. Great for cold and wet rides
