How many have kept there's over the year's? I'm debateing on even renewing this year, just dont know if I even want it. Towing?,have that,Pin's?have plenty, the magazine is nice but dosent justify the cost...am I missing something?..dont belong to a Chapter and probally never will.
Life member here also. What you're missing is probably not belonging to a local Chapter. Lots of great people there and most Chapters have a lot of fun things going on. If you're just a National member, you really don't get as much value out of it. Anyhow, it's your decision.
I never renewed after my first free year. I even explored my local chapter last week ( my hog expired 7/06) and I would have to be a national member plus pay local dues. So I chose not to. Its just not for me.
I didn't renew this year. Too much money w/little to show for it. Needed tow out in West Texas about 18mos ago and towing service didn't do a thing after repeated calls. I guess if you belong to local chapter it could be worth it?
Belong to the local chapter. Best group of people to ride with. Additionally, the dealer gives perks to the HOG members. Half of the parts for my cam job will be on the dealer due to my participation in the chapter.
It is what you put into it. If you are a lone wolf, might not be for you. If you like group riding, then look for a chapter.
Thanks for the reminder, need to send in for my update, which is free this year, as I was a HOG member and took the Experienced Riders course this year. $50 bucks back.
Have been wondering if it would be worth it to join myself. Not sure how I feel about riding in large groups. groups of 5 to 8 are fine, but anything over that isn't really for me.
