If you're talking about the Vance and Hines Classic slip ons with billet end caps , then the right muffler may turn yellow anyway (with the stock cross over setup).
I ran these mufflers on my last bike and really liked them.
If you remove the baffles , make sure to reinstall the baffle screws so the threads don't get messed up.
Watch the front pipe color between the shields to see if it turns blue , this way you'll know the mixture went leaner.
You may have to get a tuner or dial in some more fuel delivery on the tuner you have (if any).
There may not be a cure , but the yellow comes off pretty easy.
