Mine is on its' way here right now. Had the Zippers 103 "muscle" kit done. Should be here in about 1 hour.

Texas - I hadn't read your post until just now. My builder called me during the build to tell me that after buttoning it all back up, he wasn't happy with the amount of valve-train noise. He ended up ordering a set of some kind of special anti-pump lifters that some guy makes (don't know his name right now). He tore it down several times and tried different things. What finally worked was a switch to HD SE cams. He said that the Red Line? cams that come with the kit just have a little too "sharp" of an initial lift and cause chatter. Even though the cams are almost identical other than that. Zippers is aware of this. They told him they had another motor doing the same thing and wanted to know what he eventually found out. He told me that he didn't think the noise would cause any harm, just that he doesn't like to send any kind of a cruiser out with any noise like that. He's pretty particular according to his reputation. I believe that now. I can find out the full details if you need any more info. Sounds like if it is still a problem, a cam switch would fix yours too.

Hey X1, great looking Fatty! I've got a buddy in No. VA that just went with Zippers 103, and he could NOT be happier. He absolutely loves it!! He just took his bike right up to Zippers in MD, and had them do the entire job. Very pleased. 100+ Tq and 98HP... FWIW

I've put about 250 miles on mine now. Very strong, but haven't been able to really open it up yet. Have to limit it to 4K and no lugging. Builder said to keep it over about 2400 as much as possible, and not over 4000. There is a fair bit of valvetrain noise so I'm glad he went the extra and tried to get it as quiet as possible. I'll report back when I'm able to get on 'er.

I'm riding this bike now and it is a dream. More torque than I know what do do with. Has anyone dealt with rocker arm play on these things? I've tweeked the push rods to the point where I've eliminate most of the chatter but can reproduce the clicking and have about 1mm of lateral movement. Anyone else ever deal with this?
