Cool

I hear and feel all of ya's. I just had a 17 yrd old female yappin on a cell phone this past Sept. 17th take me off my 04 EGC a 1/2 block from a busy intersection pulling out of an alley into my path causing me to t-bone her 2 feet off the center line at 11pm on a Friday night!!! If I had been a a second faster and her 1 second slower she would have put me down in the oncoming traffics path!!
Not only did she pull out in front of me causing me to slam into her car, launching me into her drivers side. She left with me partially under her car trying to get up!! I noticed her moveing and threw myself clear and she dragged my bike around 100 degrees and drove a 1/2 block away to "Clear the roadway"!! With her F**King right turn signal on at the intersection!!!! Thankfully people saw it and stopped her. I walked away with only a sore shoulder and needing clean BVD'S!!!!
I saw the R.O. (Reporting Officer) later and asked him what he cited her for and he said that he did not. I asked why. He stated that he only cites when the incident is serious. I asked if my head and should being stuck in her BF Goodrichs would have been serious enough had I not noticed her moveing at the last second? He stated that the damage was not severe and that no one got hurt. I told the cycle hater that I had a 28K bike with the front end busted up and that she left the scene and failed to yield. He said that I walked away and she drove away. I said my bike has to be trailered home, unable to drive it for the ripped off windshield, crumpled up front fender and who knew if bent forks or bent rim. I asked if he was going to reconsider. He said no. I guess I should have left it alone, but I had to ask if he was doing her, the mom or both!!! He did not find the humor I did and said he did not care for what I said and to be careful. I said I did not care what he liked and to leave if he did not want to hear more.

1 month later her insur. finally agrees to pay in full after I threaten to suppeona the traffic cameras, R.O. and witnesses if they did not agree to pay for it as it was 10 minutes before she hit me. I wanted nothing out of it for myself. Just fix my scoot!!! So with parts ordered and me loseing 3-1/2 months of rideing. I may get my bike back with a big red bow for X-Mas!!!!

I was approching a intersection with light and saw car not stopping so I came to a complete stop on green light. Car behind me swerved to right and passed hitting car running light. The wreck occurred and both cars careened rear of one hit front tire knocked me over just sitting there.

Scared wee wee out of me I though car approching from the rear was going to run me down. Minor damage to bike.

Moral: stuff happens look sharp

Default Mandatory 1 month.

I've been riding since 1954 and I've always said it would be great if cagers were made to ride motorcycles one month of every year. I bet they would drive their cars a little differently.
Then, again - - - - - - -maybe not.
Just sayin.

Wow...so many distraction..Most cities are suffering from a lack of funds, hell there are a lot of money out there if they would pass laws to ticket everyone driving with a cell phone. I see it so much, and most don't care about or have any ideal that they are a hazard on the road. Driving slow in the left lane, make lane changes without looking, running lights, pumping gas and oh those intersection...It just seems like everytime I have a close call or I react before its an Azzhole on the cell. Sorry after you run over my Azz is not enough. And to top it off most of those conversations are BS.. Go home and talk to your kids and mate. Be safe guys and don't take anything for granted.

Lets face it. A 17 year old "sniff" outweighed your hardship, potential injuries or property damage. Happens all the time and is one of many reasons why my trust and respect is greatly lessened in todays world for those in positions of such authority.

Yep, intersections are a time to be on FULL ALERT - hand and foot covering the brakes and the radar UP and watching.

I wasn't so lucky I was on a dirt road doing 65 mph when a man in a
1979 ford bronco ran a blind intersection. I toteled out his bronco
and my 2000 HD fxdwg. That happened so fast that there were no skid
marks on the road the only skid mark was in my under wear. I lost my bike
and about 6 months of work and a finger "whitch put an end to my guitar
playing" and a batch of other things.
Thank God I can still Ride I got me an 07 rkc and 7 more years of payments
before i got out of my cast.
When you loose your fear you can loose your life

If I am lucky enough to survive an accident caused by a teenage C&nt on a cell phone, she will not be so lucky to survive. Pizzes me off this sheet is even allowed. They just keep getting dumber.

Buy the way California law about hands free phone has not had any effect at all
every young female is one the phone

Key scratches in cars owned by people who cut off motorcycle right-of-ways can become an educational moment. Now, I am not saying that I have or will ever do that.....but....
