Well, after a whopping 2 months and 1501 miles my 2009 FLHX has been pronounced totalled.
Riding to the mall on my daughters birthday (I was alone), Bambi decided to cross the 4 lane undivided hiway I was on right in front of me. No time to react at 70mph, hit her square on, layed the bike down, and then rolled (flopped really) down the asphalt. Bike ended up on the other side of the hiway about a 1/8 mile down, stopped by a barb wire fence and partially a tree.
Boots, gloves, helmet and short sleeve shirt bought me a lot of road rash on both arms, and a few knee scrapes and bruises.
Shop says $10.5K, insurance lizard says $9.5K and that she is totalled. I havent spoke with the insurance adjuster yet. 4 pages of parts, including replacing the cracked frame.
Anyone gone through this and can give some advice?
Thanks...

Reason: added year of bike
The cracked frame is the killer.
BUT, you can cut the frame neck w/VIN off and send it to Harley and get a new frame with the same VIN. I am not sure how it works if the bike has been totaled by the insurance company.
Gald your ok. If that happened in Oklahoma, the game Warden would of citied you for "Taking Game by illegal means". Hopefully your insurance policy covers add ons.
