I am one of the cool cops. I have been doing this job for 21 years and was a grunt in the USMC before that. I actually hate writting tickets and give alot of verbals. Tickets are only written in extreme circumstances. I was on here before, but my old screen name expired, when they changed the site, so I had to make a new one. Glad to be back. Keep the rubber side down.
those big motors were makin music with angry soundin fatcats and big power, almost triple that of a stocker....2 lane Texas hiways with no traffic and the weather in the 60's, sun was out, sky was crystal blue....PhilM & I were carvin the countryside this last weekend....the sound of these two monster motored baggers was incredible....we passed a few folks to notice the speedo at 110 with more than half the throttle left, it surprised us both it came so quick....dont bother askin which one is faster, we aint tellin....i can tell ya this tho, both will wheelie in 2nd at will...aint nothin like cuttin the mornin air with a fire breathin monster harley
and i LOVE scare'n goats
Was this the first time you have consumed adult beverages?
LOL!!
Guilty. I gotta admit, my buddies and I love doin' the same s*it when they are close to the road.
Watchin' animals s*it and git, that's fun right there, I don't care who you are..
bc of your newness i took your opening comment as a driveby slam....and i also disagree on the danger aspect....2 lanes, little to no traffic(all rollin at a good clip), very experienced rider, a perfect machine in perfect shape and tune....nuttin but fun....truth is i'm very cop friendly, many leo's on this forum can attest to it....i'm also as abrasive as they come and tickets are no big deal....what i'm sayin is me and several others thought you were a *****, this is an enthusiast site....if youre a cool cop, welcome.... if not, it's gonna be a rough crowd for you...your choice
And that right there is about as close to a "welcome aboard" as it gets....
Now I was talking to PhilM just before they took this exciting trip, and I also use to live in Texas but I can't for the life of me remember those big hills they are talking about, but I also forget that every thing is bigger in Texas, right Phil.
Buy the way, how did that new gasket hold up, no leaks I hope and tell the wife hello and always kiss the dog's for me.

hahahaha!!!!!!!!
Our track is BIGGER than yours, nut I'm not sure that's such a great thing! Where we went was the "Hill" Country.... kinda like "Hank Hill".... Good stuff, ya know?!
Bike was great. It was a shifter shaft seal, not head gasket... although both are Cometics!
Also... Welcome back to the site Cops312 ~ all is well.
Sounds like a lot of fun burning up a big highway with a couple of big bore V-twins, that is, until you think about what Cops says. It is a public highway, and some, or maybe a majority of the public out there won't agree with all the speed, noise, and fun your having; and will sent poor old cop out there to stop ya. I don't have any answers, but I can see both sides. Dam world anyway, we all have to get along with each other. No one lives in a cave anymore. Happy trails guys!
