Vented lower fairings at $275 are a good buy & i will say that one day my sg was parked in the shade and it looked like a black bike so i'm thinking the black cherry will pick up on the vivid black - maybe i am just having a 60's flashback of mind expansion

i have vivid black lowers on my 09 Redhot Sunglo RK. any black accessory goes with any other color just fine. two much effort to paint them for the little time i have them installed. here in alabama they come off in warm weather.

I'm one of those SG purists against adding driving lights, lowers and tour packs.
If the lowers are for function vs. style and you need them to keep warm in the colder months than yeah go for it.
But since you asked my opinion here it is: The SG is a bare bones bike. Minimalistic. No fancy doodads you'd find on another model. Keep it simple.
Just my humble opinion and only offered since you asked.
Other opinions and mileage will most certainly vary.

+1 +1 I have a SG so as not to have all that stuff and if it ain't snowing or raining when I go to leave in the morning I ride (28 degrees last week). No heated grips, jackets, gloves, or any thing else.
