Great stuff!!!! I have used it for 30yrs. The inventor was a DOW chemist that got sick of his boat motor carb turning green every winter ( he was from Minneapolis) so it was intended as a stabilizer AND cleaner. That is how it got it's name was the association with boat motors. Johnson sold it till the protection ran out and the they came out with a knock-off and he started marketing it on his own. His son was a rep for them and this is all info from him... I better stop, I'm already telling you more than I know.....
P.S. bpav16 - they make it in a spray that works AWESOME on throttle bodys and guns.
Seafoam is especially good as a fuel stabilizer during winter storage or when water has mixed with gasoline. I wouldn't use additives too much, or you could degrade the efi or valves. I use a capful or so of Marvel Mystery Oil every time the tank is filled. We used MMO on our air tools when I was wrenching on MOPARS. Makes everything run smoother IMHO
OK so I will add my 2 cent for what its worth....
I have used it for years and always had good luck!! Put in lawnmower at end of year and she always starts right up,A little seams to go a long way!!!Dont think you can go wrong with a small amount (2 cap fulls or so)I add about a shot glass to a full tank on the scoot and shake her up good before i put her away for the long Chicago Winter (God I HATE To say that!!!BURRRRRR) Good Luck...Ride Safe.Happy Trails!!!! R.W.
I used to sell it when I had my auto parts store. It outsold every other stabilizer, additive I sold. I use it in everything I own from weedeaters to the Harley, to the boat. BEST STUFF on the market.
