Just bought my new Road Glide from Santa Cruz Harley Davidson two weeks ago, ordered a ton of parts and when I called their phone today got a voicemail saying we are no longer in business!
This dealer was in business for 11 years and had a very nice museum inside with many vintage bikes. I am bummed as I would have went somewhere else to buy my new bike as I wanted service when it was something I could not handle. Sounds like Harley customer service is trying to take care of the customers that got burned, I have called my credit card company to get the refund process started.
Overall a bummer for this area, and I am sure this wont be the last HD dealer to close their doors this winter.
I've got one I'd like to nominate for the closing list...
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Bet your card issuer will be a large help with this. They can get things done. Good luck.

I just heard tonight. I'm in San Jose (35 mi from Santa Cruz)
Tough times. Bummer !!!!! It was a very nice store. Pricey, but nice.
Car dealerships are dropping like flies around here (I work at one). Scary !!!!
If Chevrolet would sh__ or get off the pot with the Camaro . . . They would sell every one of em. People are lining up for the R/T Challenger. Paying (well) over MSRP for em.
GM missed the boat.
Older building. Has a clock tower. Totally redone. Corner of Soquel & Seabright- 4 blocks from the Boardwalk. I'm sure their overhead killed em. Santa Cruz is a wierd community. (Typical coastal town) There is little or no middle class. You're either a millionare or you live in a doorway. Most all of SCZ HD's business came from out of town. I heard of people wheeling & dealing and getting pretty decent deals on bikes. Their clothes and merchandise was expensive (compared to San Jose, Morgan Hill or Salinas, the 3 closest dealers to SCZ) Not sure about service.
Regardless it's sad. Sign of the times.
So Art, what are we gonna do? Wait for the other shoe to drop?
