I'm not a fan of the RG fairing design at all. I'll keep my Ultra thank you.

It may be more fair, or accurate, to say that people tend to gravitate to mega-baggers as they age. I rode metric bikes when they were all that I could afford. I graduated to a Sporty when I could. I have had my Dyna for 9 years. I bought myself a Road Glide for my birthday in March. It may be the last bike that I will ever need, unless the MoCo comes out with a really nicely outfitted CVO Ultra Road Glide.

I think that you will find that a lot of people went through some type of progression like this. I also think that you will find that those who ended up on a Batwing equipped bike instead of a Sharknose are fiercely loyal to their ride. So, no, everyone doesn't end up on a Road Glide. Because, as a friend of mine used to say; "there's an *** for every seat."

Never have liked the batwing.Just too old fashion. My Harleys look just like the first Harley I ever saw back in the 50's.

no... not everyone winds up with a RG.... in fact, I think the RG, is the least popular model in the HD line-up.
Most people like to "play it safe" and go with a batwing. Nice bike, and very popular. The Shark-nose turns most people off... and (to me) that's the best part.
Given that you're the one paying good money for a bike, you should get what YOU want, and not worry about what others think or ride.
I will tell you the RG is getting popular... was in a funeral procession last Monday, 108 bikes, 4 road glides

I dont plan to ever own a road glide. I dont like the fixed fairing or the dual headlights. Reminds me of the station wagon in the national lanpoons vacation movie.

Will never own a Road Glide cuz if I wanted to turn a sharp left only to find the headlights wants to turn right. Nuh-Nah, I'll stick with my Ultra.

Different strokes for Different folks, I guess.
