I second that. I road w/ my 550 in the rain for three straight days this summer, no problems. I would consider the 450 if you dont need the extras.

Costco.com has the Garmin Zumo 450 for $350.00

The advanced Nav system does not allow you to plan a route, save a route to your computer, share a route with others, show a map view, save favorite places or waypoints.

Zumo does all of the above, and more.

I use a Nuvi 200, the suction cup mounts to the gas door and it gets the job done for $200. When I grow up, I'll get the Zumo 550

I love my 550 and use it daily, rain, shine.....no problems. When the snow flies it stays in the truck. The xm and navtraffic feature are great too.

If you're a AMA member you can get a discount on the 550. Go to www.garmin.com/ama.

Have you had any problem w/the suction cup vibrating loose? I already have the Nuvi 260 and thought about doing this same thing.

What is the AMA promotion price? Went to the site and logged in using my Garmin account, but then it wants an AMA number.

I don't want to buy an AMA membership just to find out the price. If it's a very good discount, then it might be worth joining the AMA.
