Chasing down a sqeak in the frontend
I have a high pitched squeak, (more like a scream sound), somewhere in the front end of my 2001 Roadking Classic. It happens every time I hit a medium sized bump. I changed out the front engine mount thinking that might have been the source. But this didn’t do the trick.
Last summer I did install new handle bars and also replaced the stock handlebar bushings with the polyurethane bushings. So before I tear the front end apart, I’m curious if anyone else out there has had to chase down a noise like this up front.
I’m picturing a needle in a haystack at the moment!
Thanks!

When was the last time you had your forks serviced? I'm wondering if the squeak is coming from your front shock absorbers? Just a shot in the dark as well.
I realize that this is a shot in the dark but what the heck, it doesn’t hurt to ask:
