Wow! $22 for touch-up paint! This is ridiculous, especially for vivid black.

Yep that's exactly what I used on my Road King and couldn't tell the difference except the price...

look for more of that kind of stuff.....

2009 is going to be very TOUGH economically for a lot of companies, and I am afraid HOG will be one of them.

At that rate the "no extra charge" Vivid Black paint job should cost about a million dollars. I seldom gripe about the price on something I want but this is ridiculous. It just never ends!
Without reading through this entire thread. Just go to an art store or paint store and purchase One Shot black lettering paint. It's enamel. But it is exactly the same black as vivid black. Which is also the the same black that has always been used on the Harley's frame. With the "one shot" It's name says it all. And drys to a wet gloss shine. Just as if it were clear coated. It wont be a conflict with the base coat clear coat they put on at the factory. Back in the day of Acrylic paints. Ditzler made a black paint that was labeled Original Equipment Black. This also matched the HD vivid or frame black. With HD your paying extra for the label. Even though, it's the same dam black!
