Default Fairing crooked

Hello all I'm new to this forum and new to harley's. I have rode a Vstar for the last couple years and finally came across a good deal for an 1994 electra glide classic so I will probably be hanging around here to help me make the adjustment from the yammie. Anyway I have a question about the fairing and bars on this bike, The fairing and bars are a little crooked, when your running down the road you feel like your making a small right turn. The bars look staight with the fairing so there both turned a little right. Is there a way this can be corrected, I have had the front fairing off but do not see any way to correct this. Is it possible for the forks to be scissored a little in the trees and how can you check this. It's not a big problem just bugs me. Thanks Todd

I think you need to have a dealer look at this problem.

I would suggest checking around for a good indy and take it to them and have the entire front end serviced. How many miles are there on the bike?

The person that I purchased the bike from just had it to the shop having a new tire put on the front and checked the bearings. He has rode the bike for awhile and I'm not for sure he realized the bars and fairing are crooked.
As for the rubber bushings I had removed the risers and looked at them but did not thank they looked bad. To me it's like the upper tree is turned to the right just a little because the bars and fairing line up with each other, there just both turned to the left. The bike has 42564 miles on it and I don't (think) by looking at the paint and chrome it has ever been down. It rides straight and handles very nice other then the normal vibs.

Man I have tried that and it just does not move enough. I think theres a good half inch differance from the right and left. But doing this does not correct the handle bars. I ordered some new riser bushings today and going to put it on the lift and tear into it, I think there is something off in the trees. I will post my results when finished and maybe will help someone else. Thanks for the reply's Todd

sounds like the forks are twisted a bit in the tripple tree. Easy fix, just need to lift the front of the bike off the ground, loosen the 4 bolts that hold the fork tubes, hold the front wheel and have somone turn the bars untill they line up correctly. As the fairing mounts too the forks, if its out of wack, it will cause the fairing to be crooked as well. once she is straight, tighten every thing back up.

I had the same problem with my 01 Ultra. Found out it was the engine and transmission out of alignment in the frame. Done some research on the net and aligned it myself. Now everything looks and feels straight running down the road.

Have the same issue with my 09 ultra. Bars and fairing point slightly left with bike going straight. Does sound like the forks are twisted in the tree. My check out when I get my service manual. After 4K miles pretty much use to it.
